My Purrfect Valentine

Now that January is finally over, (after 1,859 days), we have now entered another long and arduously exhausting month... February. Personally, I'm not a huge winter person so I think Taylor Swift summed up the feeling pretty well in Fortnite when she writes "All my mornings are Mondays stuck in an endless February" but once again, I digress...
The one bright (or another dark depending on your point of view) side of February is at least there is a fun holiday snuck in there. Now... I'm not one to shy away from celebrating any holiday. In fact, I'm a holiday lover. Yes - even Valentine's Day as a currently single woman. Valentine's Day is about love. I love the colors. I love the flowers. I love sending cute little Valentines to my family members. And I love love.
Valentine's Day is a great reminder that love is in the air, and for many of us, that love comes with paws. I don't think celebrating Valentine's should just be for romantic partners. Even "corporate America" makes gifts for family, kids, parents, etc. Why not include your furry companions in the festivities? After all, they’re the ones who are always there to greet you with wagging tails or soft purrs, so it’s only fitting that they get a slice of the heart-shaped cake too.
Although every day is a great day to dote on fur babies, Valentine's Day is a great opportunity to celebrate the unconditional love we receive from our pets. Whether you have a dog, cat, horse, rabbit... whatever it may be, these little companions deserve a day filled with joy and appreciation.
I would love to once again formerly introduce my purrfect valentine(s) - Tucker & Leo.
So this Valentine’s Day, don’t just celebrate love; celebrate love in all its forms, especially the tail-wagging, whisker-twitching kind! We'll be celebrating with a special homecooked chicken dinner for these handsome boys topped with a few extra snackies (Churu Lickables and Purr Pops!)
And don't forget... take some time to give back. Many animal shelters are in desperate need of supplies and love. Consider donating food, toys, or even volunteering to spend time with pets looking for their forever homes. Tucker, Leo & I will be sponsoring a kitten family at our local SPCA since we are quickly approaching "kitten season." Speaking of - another great way to honor your pets and the pet population is remember the wise words of the late Bob Barker:
Happy Valentine's Day!
